Semaglutide
A household name in metabolic health — hugely popular for appetite and weight goals.
What is it?
Semaglutide is one of the most famous peptides in the world — a GLP-1 that works with a natural gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar. Its popularity for weight and metabolic goals has made it a household name, and demand remains extremely high.

Storage
- Powder (unmixed): −20 °C
- After mixing: 2–8 °C
- Use within: days
- Avoid freeze–thaw cycles
Technique
- Clean the vial stopper and the skin with an alcohol swab and let both air-dry.
- Pinch a skinfold and insert the needle at 45–90° into the subcutaneous tissue.
- Do not aspirate for subcutaneous injections — inject slowly and steadily.
- Wait 5–10 seconds before withdrawing, then apply gentle pressure. Do not rub the site.
- Rotate sites systematically — abdomen (at least 5 cm from the navel), thighs and upper arms — to avoid lipohypertrophy.
- Use a new sterile 28–31 G insulin syringe every time and dispose of it in a sharps container.
Reported side effects
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Constipation

- Clinical trials report a mean 10–15% reduction in body weight at 2.4 mg weekly alongside lifestyle changes.
